A resident of Hollywood, Florida, Vicki Hendricks teaches Creative Writing at Broward Community College. As an accomplished scuba diver, she also enjoys sailing and skydiving.
Her first novel, Miami Purity was published by Pantheon in the U.S. and overseas in eight languages. And she has written a chapter in the collaborative Florida crime novel, Naked Came the Manatee.

Her plots are based on psychological sadism that slap you in the face, kick you in the ass, and then hit you over the head with a sledgehammer. Why do I read her books? Because I love them!
Iguana Love follows a bored woman on a thrill seeking expedition, that starts off learning scuba diving, and ends with murder. Ramona Romano loves to use her sexuality to control men. She practices body building and takes steroids to build herself up so she can dominate her men physically as well as psychologically. Using her strength to be in control sexually as well as in sports, She is never satisfied and always wants more.
But the tables turn, and she finds herself obsessed with the one man who is able to control and dominate her. And she slowly slides into a world of sexual perversion, drugs and murder.
This is not a book for the faint-hearted. It should come with a warning label on the side. Actually it does – it’s published by Serpents Tail, publisher of many hardboiled tales.
